When I was asked to be my son's (3rd grade) room mom, I immediately turned to the Internet where the ideas were sometimes there, but hard to find. This was the first time I had been a room mom, even though I have helped out in the classrooms before. I was a little nervous and overwhelemed (maybe some of you have felt that too?) so I decided to create this blog. I needed a place to store my findings and thought why not share them with everyone looking for the same thing? Sometimes the ideas I post about are not only related to teaching or being a room mom, but hey this is my blog so it isn't always perfect. My goal is to help room parents, teachers and parents, find a place where creative ideas exsist.
If you have any great ideas, sites, or info. that might be helpful please don't hesitate to comment or e-mail!!
You really should check out VolunteerSpot.com. It makes being a room mom so much easier. I just setup all volunteer opportunities and parties on VolunteerSpot's free signup calendars. Parents signup and are sent reminder emails. VolunteerSpot.com has saved me tons of time.
