Since pictures seem to be a popular idea for Dad's/Grandpa's on Father's Day, here are a few ideas that you might want to try out too...
From Sister Stuff:
And from Mommy Guru, here is the same idea but a different approach:
Just a thought, but I made something similar to these ideas for my mom one year for Mother's Day. The mat of the picture frame said Grandma and I had 7 different grandchildren pictures to fill in behind the letters. You could try something like that for GRANDPA too! :) I love pictures...especially creative ones!
And speaking of pictures, try out this fun {FREE} site (Be Funky)...it allows you to edit your pictures in fun ways! Check it out...could be fun!
What a wonderful set of ideas! I'm so glad I checked here today! =)
ReplyDeleteI did something very similar a few years back. My girls shared a room and had their names in red wood letters on the wall so I took down a D and an A and found a nice backdrop outside for pictures. I had my three kids dress in white shirts and denim shorts/skirts. In separate pics I had my girls hold the D and my little boy, in another separate pic, held the A. Our dog sat down nicely right next to my boy, also. The white shirts were a great contrast to the red letters and I found a black and white frame with three 5x7 openings. Basically same thing what you did here. It is one of my husband's favorites and while it is already pretty outdated, it's still prominently displayed in his work office. : )
